Executive Summary
In the mobile phone market, the amount of used smart phone has been increased. According to the increasing, lifestyle of people has been changed and this changing towards to positive direction. Smart phone could be defined with OS, Apps, and Wi-Fi. Smart phone is not just a cell phone that is available using the Internet. Like its name, smart phone provides many “Smart” functions to use and the functions can be divided by basic and advanced. With the basic functions, there are e-mailing, gaming, watching movies, listening to music, and many others. Advanced functions are the true reason people using the smart phone and those are location searching, reading book, fixing documents, and many more others than the number of basic functions. There are two most popular smart phones in the market, Apple’s iPhone and Google’s Nexus one. They are the most notable rivals in the smart phone market and recently Google’s Nexus One exceeds the iPhone’s market share. The smart phone market is expanding and countless Apps are pouring into the App store. Smart phone will constantly contribute to make human life to be more conveniently.




Introduction
Long time ago, there was a commercial film about cell phone. The story was that a woman sit and read book at out side of a café and someone asked her what time it is then she started to find her cell phone for checking time even though she wore a wristwatch, actually she was seemed she did not recognize the wristwatch. The CF shows the influence of cell phone in our life style. It was long ago before the smart phone era started. Now, smart phone users are obviously increased, so its market share holds the main position in the mobile phone market. For this reason, it affects many sides of human life style; it is not level of substitution “wristwatch.” For example, when people woke up, they check the weather, news, and stock information from their smart phone. Then, they check the road status for commuting from the phone. If they need to fix their Power Point presentation slides at no PC area, they can fix it through their smart phone. For the dinner, they can search a good restaurant nearby their current location. Simply, we can say smart phone opens and closes people’s daily life.

Just Cell Phone That is Available Using Internet?
It is a fine question that “What is smart phone?” and “Is smart phone defined by using the Internet on the phone?” It is true. The Internet availability is the most important thing to be smart phone, but it is just one of condition to be smart phone. As its name, many smart things are realized with countless applications on the web. The combination between Internet accessibility and applications is met the requirements to be smart phone. Of course, there are other conditions to be smart phone such as OS, but the technological problems will not be dealt in this session. The focus will be on the applications because it is true reason normal mobile device possibly turning to smart phone.

How Smart Are They?
People recognize that smart phone has many useful functions, but do they know all about it? No, they do not, actually they cannot. The smartness of smart phone is decided by applications and the numbers of applications are increased quite rapidly.

The functions of smart phone could be divided two parts, basic and advanced functions. The basic functions of smart phone are similar with normal mobile phone at many parts, calling, texting, camera, and clock. Moreover, smart phone has many more basic functions such as weather and stock checking, voice recording, note page, Internet browser, and map. Those are the extraordinary functions on the normal mobile phone, but those are provided basically on smart phone. For this reason, basic functions are not concern in this section. We are dealing with the advanced functions of smart phone.

Advanced functions are determined by applications. Now, many applications are made by personally. It can be realized by open source system. The open source system allows any one can use source code if they follow the right of manufacturer. For this result, countless applications are pouring into the App Store. There are several notable advanced functions, applications, for smart phone, Poynt, Office Square Plus, and We Rule.


Poynt is a mobile GPS application that provides information around users current location. As for the provided information, there are locations of person, business, restaurant, movie theater, and others. Moreover, it offers not only location information, but also it offers to take services related with the location such as ticket reservation of movie theater and restaurant reservation. If the user gets out of the location, it continuously offers the information of movies and service to reserve ticket and restaurant.

Office Square Plus allows to open various formats of document. It means it can open MS office documents, PDF, and many other documents via Wi-Fi connection. It also provides to fix documents, but saving is not allowed in free version. Therefore, for this, user should purchase paid version of the application, then user can fix and save the documents.

Gaming is one of the advanced functions of smart phone. We Rule is a gaming application. It is a free application, so users can play without a burden. It is one of the most popular games on the Apple’s App Store. It is about farming. Player builds their own village through making money by raising and harvesting crops. It also allows to add friends, so player can visit their friend through online.

iPhone: The Great Achievement of Jobs
In January 9th 2007, Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, announced their new smart phone in Mac World 2007. The name of the device was iPhone, and it is the most desirable phone in this era. The strongest point of iPhone is easy to use, for example touching icons on the main screen performs most commands of iPhone. Another merit is applications. The Apple’s App Store possess over than 200,000 applications on the web. Therefore, iPhone owners can use various applications than any other smart phones. The recognition of screen touching and G-Sensor are another strong points of iPhone.

Now, people pay attention about Apple’s iPhone 4G model, and there is large number of rumors about iPhone 4G.

Nexus One: Web Meets Phone
Nexus One is Google’s smart phone based on Android open source mobile OS, Google calls it “Super Phone”. Nexus One is made by HTC and it started to sell in January 5th 2010. The notable point is that users can type text by their voice. Nexus One is not contracted with particular network service provider like iPhone with AT&T.

Recently, Android phone exceeds iPhone’s market share. It shows that the domination of iPhone in the mobile market will not be constant. Experts say that lowering the price and contract with every network providers work on this result.

Recommendations
As normal mobile phone market did, smart phone market will be constantly increased and countless applications and phone devices will be appeared. It is certain that this technological evolution will affect human life style, social communication, and new business. According to increase smart phone using, people can carry more information than before, so it will be essential reason to change human life style. Social communication style also will be changed. These days, social communication web site has been increasing such as Face Book and Twitter. In near future, social communication web site might substitute every human communication. It is not seemed just positively. As smart phone market growth, the new business might be appeared and it will affect on economy positively or not.
